Working for Educators at the State Capitol

The Mississippi Association of Educators has a strong and effective voice at the Mississippi State Capitol, having successfully advocated for teacher pay raises, the creation of MAEP (the state’s adequate education funding formula), and even the early Education Reform Act that ushered in a modern era in Mississippi’s classrooms, just to name a few successful efforts. We believe that the best educational and economic opportunity for Mississippi’s students is strong public schools in every corner of the state. Our work at the State Capitol reflects the strength and character of our members, and we are proud to wear the MAE label.
