Week 2 of the 2019 Legislative Session has wrapped up, and it was a busy one: 147 education-focused bills from legislators in the House and 58 education-focused bills from Senate legislators have been filed. The proposed legislation includes teacher and assistant teacher pay raises, bolstering teaching assistance in districts, increasing EEF funding for classroom supplies, and reevaluating state testing requirements for students across the state.
Below are the links to the lists of education-focused bills that have come from the House of Representatives and the Senate. It’s important to note that while not all these bills will make it out of their respective education committees, they will be discussed.
