The pandemic turned student engagement on its head, and opened so many eyes about what it really takes to keep students engaged. MAE and NEA are at the forefront of creating systems and practices that will perform well under any learning environment.
Remote Learning
We are encouraged by the recent funding provided to help ensure every community has access to broadband internet. If there was anything we learned during the pandemic, it is that broadband access is a necessary component of the modern educational matrix.
We believe that the basics of a solid, traditional education system do not preclude the adaptation of technologies created to enhance outcomes. We will continue to push for more measures to ensure our students are proficient users of all learning tools available to them in order to support the development of a strong workforce for Mississippi.
