Learning doesn’t begin when students enter the classroom or end when students leave school for the day. MAE provides resources and support to help families, caregivers, and community members play an active role in developing students’ love of learning.
Read Across Mississippi
Through our Read Across Mississippi program featuring Dr. Read A. Loud, MAE supports and is a participant in NEA’s Read Across America program. Read Across America provides 12 months of recommended books and authors that promote diversity and inclusion for students at every grade level. The program also has resources for teachers who want to incorporate these books into their lessons. Read more here.
Free or Discounted Books
Economic status should not determine if a child develops a love of reading. Check out NEA’s list of free materials that helps put books in the hands of readers.
Resources for Families
MAE is proud to partner with NEA to provide several resources to help families help their students. We all know the important role you play in helping educators do their job. Check out the resources here.
