MAE/JAE Water Emergency Relief Fund applications taken until March 24.

MAE/JAE members who, prior to the August 30th, 2022, Mississippi state of emergency order for the City of Jackson’s water crisis, were actively working in Jackson Public Schools and have incurred over $100 of personal goods and services expenses because of the water emergency are eligible to request financial assistance. The maximum award amount per member will be $100.00.

MAE and JAE are here for you!  We know the water emergency has caused great hardship for many of our members.  With additional costs related to bottled water, water filters, lodging, and possible illness, our members may be struggling. And with the new year, this financial strain becomes even more pressing. To provide support to our members, MAE and JAE are offering financial assistance to help offset some of the unexpected costs related to the water emergency.

To request financial assistance from the MAE/JAE Water Emergency Relief Fund, please complete the application below. Members who receive assistance may be asked to send a text, email, picture, or agree to an interview on how the financial assistance will help them. Applications for assistance will be considered in order of date received by MAE and must be received no later than Friday, March 24, 2023, at 5 p.m. MAE reserves the right to close the application process earlier than Friday, March 24, should available funds be exhausted prior to that time.
